My Top 4 Book Recommendations

Reading for 30 minutes every morning has transformed my life in 2018. This habit has become an integral part of my daily morning routine

There are so many reasons why reading is important and I'm sure you know many reasons too. But picking up this habit isn't always as easy as it sounds. So, I'm sharing with you the reason why I started reading and how it became a habit.

It's so easy for us to wake up every morning on the wrong side of the bed, bothered by a dream, rushing to get our to-do lists over with, washing our face and gulping down our breakfast or coffee to just have another day. 

But, reading, reading can absolutely change how you go about your day. 

Reading has allowed me to transform any negative, rushed, undefinable feelings that I have in the morning to feelings of productivity, happiness, hope, major inspiration and a feeling as though I can concur the world. I swear. 

I'm going to share with you my top 4 book recommendations for this year in this post. I'm sure if you pick up any of these books and start reading you will instantly feel motivated, inspired and ready to take charge of your life. 

These specific books are the ones that got me hooked to reading and making it part of my morning routine. Ready to feel inspired?

Book #1 What I Know For Sure - Oprah Winfrey 

Oh. My. God. I remember not wanting this book to end. This was the book that got me hooked to reading at the start of this year. It's a very inspirational book on taking a different and freeing outlook on life.  

If you're not big on reading yet, this is a great place to start. 

Favorite quote from this book "If you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance."

Book #2 You Are a Badass - How to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life - Jen Sincero

Ok. She really changed my life. Her style of writing is so close to the reader, you feel like she's speaking directly at you. It's a very powerful, motivational, ass-kickery type of book and you feel like screaming of excitement after you're done reading. 

I did actually go back to reading it after I was done until I found the second version of her book: You are a badass at making money and I went right ahead and devoured that book as well. 

Book #3 The Guide to Greatness - Robin Sharma

This is amazing as it tackles life, interacting with people, work and how to be an all in all better person. It's perfect for a morning read as it's a bunch of short chapters, 1-2 pages each and it really hits the spot with the messages it has in each chapter. 

I love these kinds of books because they help you set an intention at the start of your day in a very clear and positive way. He has a ton of other books that I absolutely love too like The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari and The Guide to Greatness 2.

Book #4 Lean In - Sheryl Sandberg

Every man and woman on the face of this earth needs to read what this woman has to say. She is the COO of Facebook, billionaire and has a ton of experience and insight to share.

It was so enlightening to learn why we do the things we do and how we set expectations for ourselves. She speaks about the way we were all raised into society and how we develop certain behaviors and how to break these unnecessary rules. 

You will discover things about yourself that I'm sure you never thought of before.
